The Spring Grove City Council approved the annexation of a parcel in Spring Grove Township following a public hearing at its May 19 meeting.
During the hearing, resident Karen Folstad asked where the property is located. Mayor Bryan Wilhelmson said the parcel is behind Greg Wennes’ property at 511 Maple Drive. The council then closed the hearing and moved to formal action.
Council Member Trent Turner moved to approve CHAPTER 2114A annexation of the land; the motion was seconded by Council Member Morgan Buckland and carried. The council also approved the Annexation Certificate and a revised city map that adds the proposed annexation land.
The annexation was associated with Resolution No. 26-33 accepting the petition for annexation and initiating annexation procedures, as recorded in the meeting minutes. The council voted on each related item by motion and the motions carried as documented.
Next steps noted in the meeting record include administrative completion of the annexation certificate and updating official mapping records to reflect the newly annexed parcel.
