St. James — The City Council on Oct. 15 voted unanimously to support participation in the Recharge America recognition program, a no-cost initiative that helps communities advance clean-energy goals through education and recognition.
Staff member Brianna told councilmembers she was a guest speaker at a recent Recharge America event and described the program's focus on mobilizing clean-energy champions and delivering community education. Councilmembers noted potential economic-development benefits, pointing to a downtown EV charging unit that has attracted visitors to local businesses.
Council approved Resolution 10242 by consensus; staff said there is no cost to the city to participate.
