Council voted to award the town's asphalt-paving contract to E&B Paving at $313,846.50. Streets official Mr. Servis said E&B's bid was roughly $7,000 lower than the next bidder and recommended the award “subject to our receipt of the community crossings grant money.” The motion passed on a voice vote after a member moved and another seconded the recommendation.
Council also approved purchasing six custom dog-waste stations to support stormwater outreach and community cleanup. Ms. Barron presented two quotes and said the town received a written quote from Pet Waste Eliminator at $329 per unit (total $1,974) and a higher listing from Dog Waste Depot; the council accepted the Pet Waste Eliminator quote and directed the purchase to be funded from the parks budget.
On administrative business the council adopted Resolution 04-20-26 designating authorized signers for town bank accounts. The resolution names Arthur J. League, president of the council; Katherine L. Tanner, clerk-treasurer; Sherry J. Johnson, deputy clerk-treasurer; and Shauna R. Atkins, accounting clerk, as account signatories subject to bank requirements and the State Board of Accounts.
The council also approved the March meeting minutes and the register of claims by voice vote and then adjourned.
