Castle Preservation Society hearing continued to July 1; staff coordinating safety and attendance details

Town Planner Chuck Wise reported at the June 17 meeting that the Castle Preservation Society hearing has been continued to July 1, 2026. Staff are working with the Police Department, Fire Department and the applicant to develop a more defined list of proposed events and attendance limits ahead of the continued hearing.
Mr. Wise said the Lakes Region Planning Commission has been notified of a regional impact referral and that the Town of Tuftonboro had not yet responded to the referral. The board did not take substantive action beyond continuing the hearing and directing staff coordination; the matter will return for further review on July 1.
