Council members also approved a request from the American Legion to close the street for a memorial ceremony on Sept. 6; the event will include a short program at 2 p.m. and a brief road closure to accommodate the ceremony and related activities.
The ordinance will be executed following routine post-meeting sign and publishing procedures.
