Flora — Resident Brian Johnson used the council’s public-comment period on Sept. 8 to press town staff and councilors for written replies to multiple information requests he said he filed since April. Johnson said he had submitted emails and handwritten materials and that several items remained unanswered; he specifically sought documentation of the 'due process' applied to a nuisance/property-enforcement matter he raised in April.
"I want to see what due process was," Johnson said during the exchange, adding he had submitted repeated emails and written questions that he said went unanswered for months. Council members and staff (Pam and others) said they believed many previously raised questions had been answered and asked Johnson to condense outstanding requests into a single submission to the email address staff provided so they could track and respond.
Town staff acknowledged some communications and packet materials had been provided earlier and said they would look again for any items that remained outstanding. The council did not deliver a formal determination on the nuisance-enforcement question at the meeting; staff agreed to review Johnson's outstanding items and follow up before the next meeting.
The exchange was substantive and prolonged; councilors asked for a consolidated list of unresolved questions and pledged to review records and return with written responses where required by public-records rules.
