Trimont council approves EFT policy, donation split and routine bills

At its Nov. 17 meeting the Trimont City Council approved an electronic funds‑transfer (EFT) policy, adopted a $1,000 contribution split between the Fire and Ambulance departments, and approved routine financial items including the consent agenda and the October bills list.
Council Member Bradford Flohrs moved, seconded by Council Member Ronald Shade, to approve the EFT transfer policy; the motion passed 5-0. The council also adopted Resolution 2025-20, moved by Council Member Bradford Flohrs and seconded by Council Member Ronald Shade, to contribute $1,000 with half to the Fire department and half to the Ambulance department; the vote was unanimous. The consent agenda was approved on a motion by Council Member Brian Krumwiede, seconded by Council Member Bradford Flohrs (5-0). The minutes include a full list of October vendor payments and amounts, which were approved as part of financial business.
Clerk Kelli Harder reported a satisfactory workers' compensation audit, noted a pending closing on the Apple Street lot and that Bob’s Biffy will pick up portable toilets. The clerk also relayed an email indicating that a congressional spending resolution may expand possibilities for infrastructure funding; the council discussed possible extra meeting dates in December but no date was finalized in the minutes.
What’s next: staff will process approved bills and implement the EFT policy; the $1,000 contribution will be disbursed as recorded.
