The Etna Green town board approved several operational and procurement items on the agenda. The board accepted a quote from Liry Construction Company for a $2,500 visual inspection and $24,800 exterior painting job for the elevated water storage tank and voted to proceed.
Separately, the board approved purchase of a radio-ready water meter for a large commercial user (Winona Powder Coat) at a quoted price of $5,618 from Utility Supply Company; members discussed lead time (possibly as late as September) and compatibility with the town's radio-read system.
The board also approved three bank-letter actions to remove former employees Patty Cook and Ashley Ashby as authorized signers and to add Clerk-Treasurer Barbara Wagner, deputy Ann England and Eileen Hall as signers at Interra Credit Union, Trust Indiana (TX program) and First Merchants Bank (wastewater bond account). Members emphasized the need to keep the bond account active with periodic deposits to prevent closure.
Members additionally discussed repairs and maintenance flagged in the employee report, including completed roof repairs and the need to fence the generator for safety; the generator fence will be considered on a future agenda.
