The board voted to proceed with a permanent integrated nursing room in the recommended location; members asked staff to return with firm pricing, construction impacts and final plan drawings. The board also noted federal requirements (the Pump Act/Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023) require at least one lactation area for a small hub airport; the additional room is discretionary but aligns with best-practice guidance.
Next steps: staff will produce detailed cost estimates and construction schedule implications for the approved location and return with firm pricing for final authorization.
