Weiser Ambulance District reports drop in call volume, asks county to replace lawn with gravel at hall

Alan Foster, director of the Weiser Ambulance District, told the Board on June 15 that the district’s call volume is down by 127 calls compared with last year and that roughly 60% of billable services are not collectible.
Foster presented district payables, bank statements, a call data report and a May budget variance report for Board review. The Board approved Order No. 26-36 for general expenses and Order No. 26-35 for payroll (motions carried). Foster also raised maintenance and facility needs: he said there is no longer water available for the lawn at the Ambulance Hall, requested the county remove the lawn and replace it with gravel, and described additional repairs needed for ambulances.
Commissioners approved the presented expense and payroll orders. Foster said he typically budgets within his office to cover such retiree recognitions and maintenance items and that he would present specifics for the parking area work to the Board if needed.
