Budget committee to pilot meeting-summary tools; staff to compare in July

The committee discussed options for producing accessible meeting summaries using AI tools and agreed to a small side-by-side pilot.
Amanda described testing summaries produced by a paid tool she uses and said she would provide two example summaries for comparison. Staff noted the town holds a subscription to a product referred to in materials as "Hatz" and suggested the committee consider whether to create a budget-committee login for repeated use. Members also raised Microsoft 365 Copilot as another option if licensing changes make it available to staff.
The group agreed to have Alex attend the next meeting to discuss technical details and costs, to run a short pilot comparing outputs, and to aim for a decision after side-by-side reviews.
