Council approves EOM contract increase and several consent items including $2.08M maintenance bond

On April 7 the Richmond Hill Mayor and Council approved Amendment No. 3 to the EOM Operations Contract, increasing the contract from $4,863,684 to $5,249,357. City Manager Lovell said the increase funds an additional mower position, expands the crew for dry trash collection and reflects a 3.2% CPI adjustment; funding for the change was included in the 2026 budget.
Councilmember Kevin Bowes moved to approve the contract amendment; Councilmember Steve Scholar seconded and the motion carried in the affirmative by all.
Earlier in the meeting the Council approved a consent agenda that included a civility resolution, moving the May workshop from May 19 to May 21, a Service Delivery Strategy amendment for Pembroke housing revitalization, authorization to surplus twelve police vehicles, an Ameris Bank resolution updating the authorized signatories to Mayor Kristi Cox, and acceptance of a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $2,078,110.80 for Heartwood POD 4, Phase 1.
