The Richmond Hill City Architectural Review Board on March 31 tabled consideration of exterior elevations for a proposed Horizon Behavioral Health building at 4100 Iron Horse Xing until the applicant provides full-color, higher-resolution renderings.
Board members said the grayscale rendering submitted did not show enough detail to assess a brick feature wall, any special brick pattern or border, or the precise location of an external stairwell. Jack Giddens asked for clarification on the stairwell location; Director Brian Crooks said parking adequacy had been reviewed and approved during the site-plan review by the planning commission. A board member suggested mirroring the roofline from the right-hand side over the column with the brick feature wall; faux windows and shutters were also discussed.
Jennifer Sheahan moved to table the agenda item until a full-color, more-detailed rendering could be provided; Carrol Ann Coleman seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The item will return to a future ARB meeting after the applicant submits a clearer rendering for staff and board review.
