Planning Commission approves agenda and consent items, discusses board vacancies

The Richmond Hill Planning Commission approved its March 9, 2026 agenda and the consent agenda, which included approval of the February 9 minutes and initial site plans for iONNA (4720 U.S. Hwy 17, parcel 0473025‑02) and Horizon Behavioral Health (4100 Iron Horse Xing, parcel 0531‑048‑05).
Commissioner Chris Raiford moved to approve the agenda and later moved approval of the consent agenda; both motions were seconded by Commissioner Charles Blanks and carried unanimously.
Under "Other Items for Discussion," Director Brian Crooks updated commissioners on ongoing board vacancies and said staff was coordinating with the mayor to develop a more formal policy and procedure to fill vacancies with individuals who have relevant experience and knowledge for the respective boards. Commissioner Raiford moved to adjourn at 7:11 p.m.; Commissioner Blanks seconded and the motion carried.
