At the May 13 work session the Town of Greenberg board covered several administrative matters and set next steps for a range of pending items.
Bonding and capital projects: Staff reported that bonding for sewer work on East Tarsdale Avenue cannot proceed until required engineering maps and an environmental study are complete; the controller said the town must meet municipal-securities requirements before issuing bonds.
Development referrals: The board briefly discussed a warehouse proposal (CD 3/BMR Ardsley Park LLC) and agreed it will continue through planning and zoning review; a town board referral would primarily declare lead agency for environmental review and invite applicant presentations at the appropriate time.
Personnel and special counsel: The board discussed a resolution to retain the law office of Vincent Toomey for special counsel on personnel matters; staff said the firm has been retained historically and the resolution was placed on the agenda for transparency about fees. No final hiring vote was recorded in the discussion segment reviewed.
Executive session motion: Toward the end of the meeting the chair moved to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters involving specific individuals and to seek legal advice; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Next steps: Multiple items (cannabis revenue research, FEMA/SWIFT follow-up, local-law drafting, and coordination on county flood meetings) were directed to staff for additional materials and scheduling.
