Board members discussed renewing the town's support for the state-level Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act and agreed it should be placed on the agenda again.
"We passed the resolution last time. I don't know why we wouldn't pass it again," one council member said. A staff member said he would submit an updated resolution reflecting the current session and date.
A staff speaker provided the bill numbers for the session: Senate S1464 and Assembly A1749. Board members said updating the resolution date and bill citations should be straightforward and asked staff to place the revised resolution on next week's agenda.
Next steps: staff will prepare and submit an updated resolution for board consideration next week.
