The commission voted to grant a preliminary allocation of 720 gallons per day for water and 420 gallons per day for wastewater. Commissioner David moved the motion and Miss Bart seconded; the motion passed by voice roll call with David, Aaron and Jay recorded as voting yes.
Staff told the commission the applicant’s initial engineering submission contained a miscalculation that was reviewed with project engineer Tyler Billingsley and appears resolved; the commission said the town has capacity for the request and that wastewater treatment rules will continue to apply during final review.
Under the motion, staff will allow the applicant additional time—up to six months—to complete required items before returning for final allocation. The commission noted zoning approvals are separate: allocation establishes capacity, not land-use entitlement.
The next procedural step is for the applicant to return with finalized engineering and any required zoning approvals for the commission’s final allocation decision.
