Bristol advances $87,000 police appropriation to second reading to cover overtime, repairs and software

Kathy Burke moved to advance the additional appropriation to second reading; Doug D. Smith seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
During the discussion, staff noted the department had increased authorized officers from six to 11 and reported June statistics including 79 citations, 576 calls and 65.25 hours of overtime; staff said one full-time firefighter/EMT position remains open and recruitment continues for police and fire roles.
