Bristol approves multiple contract pay applications, SRF disbursements and $522,724.50 water-main change order

Council approved a series of construction and SRF funding items at the July 17 meeting.
Staff presented a change order for 2024-1 CCMG reallocating work between segments that reduced project costs. Council approved the change order, then approved pay application 1 for 2024-2 CCMG in the amount of $276,397.29 to Midlock Excavating, pay application 2 for $33,393.60 to Niblock, and pay application 3 (retainage) for $34,421.21 to Niblock. All motions passed unanimously.
On SRF items, the council approved Disbursement Request #31 for $39,569 to Commonwealth Engineering for wastewater treatment plant engineering and authorized Disbursement Request #32, which includes payments to Crosby Construction and a related retainage. Staff said the water-main replacements on Elcart and St. Joe Street will be fronted by the town and reimbursed through the State Revolving Fund; council approved Change Order No. 4 for Water Contract A as recorded in the meeting ($522,724.50).
Mike Gilder told council the projects are proceeding on schedule and noted the wastewater and water projects remain under budget at this stage. Council voted on each item by voice and recorded unanimous approvals.
