Council approves audit engagement with $7,500 cap and scope limited to salaried-exempt posts after brief debate

The staff member also summarized a staff review of the Fair Labor Standards Act and said, based on that review, the way the city currently has applied paid time off “appears … in compliance” with FLSA requirements, while noting that the council can change PTO application in the new employee handbook.
