The Oneida County Land Records Committee on June 2 set a $150,000 minimum bid for RH-1327 (209/213 E Frederick St., City of Rhinelander) and approved multiple conveyances of county-owned lands.
Sara Chiamulera, Land Records staff, reviewed the Cranberry Hill property designated RH-1327, reporting a broken basement window and other damage, boarding of windows by Buildings and Grounds, and daily monitoring by staff. Chiamulera said the building’s heating, plumbing and electrical systems and exterior require severe repairs and that the structure’s appraisal value for the building component was recorded as $0.
The committee voted to set a minimum bid of $150,000 for RH-1327, to run the land sale through July 31, 2026, and to open sealed bids at the Land Records meeting on Aug. 4, 2026. The motion to set the minimum bid was moved by Robert Briggs and seconded by Chris Schultz and passed with all ayes.

Chiamulera told the committee staff have prepared an expense breakdown for RH-1327 to date and recommended holding open-house-style viewings (staffed a few hours once per week) because she expects high interest given the property’s profile. The committee approved the sale parameters and schedule as presented.
The meeting packet noted that quoted appraisal and condition details apply only to the county’s records and that prospective bidders should verify property condition independently. The committee forwarded resolutions for the direct and excess conveyances to the County Board as part of the consent agenda. The committee set its next meeting for July 7, 2026 and adjourned at 10:08 a.m.
