Commission appoints member to building committee and advances survey and appraisal for parcel PE‑69

At the May 18 meeting the Oneida Vilas Transit Commission appointed Dawn Winquist to its building committee and received updates on a potential property acquisition and routine voucher approval.
Chairman Marvin Anderson appointed Dawn Winquist to the building committee effective May 18, 2026. Transit Manager Barb Newman provided an update on surveying services for Oneida County parcel PE‑69: Riverside Land Surveying submitted a preliminary survey to Oneida County Zoning on May 4, 2026; county zoning waived the review fee and the survey is under review. Newman said she walked the property and believes the parcel would suit OVTC’s purposes; she has issued a request for quotes for an appraisal and expects the appraisal to qualify as a micro‑purchase under $5,000.
Newman also explained the April 13, 2026 paid voucher. Chairman Anderson moved that the voucher reading be approved for the record; Billy Fried seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Items listed for future agendas included bus funding, per diem policy, and the possible sale of the current administration building. The commission set its next meeting for June 22, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. and adjourned at 11:50 A.M.
