With no questions from council members, a motion and a second carried 5-0 to approve the resolution.
The budget had been the subject of a public hearing the previous Monday, Roberts said, and city staff had spent considerable time preparing the proposal. The adoption vote followed a period in which the council reviewed the materials and raised no substantive questions during the meeting.
The council did note that a late insurance premium increase discussed later in the meeting would affect the newly adopted budget; Roberts said the budget was increased in anticipation of some premium growth but that the additional rise would require a budget amendment and provide Natalie authority to make the change.
The council adjourned after completing the scheduled items.
