Planning Board hears reports: three certificates of appropriateness issued, County Council approves Bill 61-26 and ranks Rural Legacy applications

Staff told the board that the Landmarks Preservation Commission issued three certificates of appropriateness and that the County Council passed Bill 61-26 and Resolution 13-26 ranking three Maryland Rural Legacy applications for FY2027.
At the June 18 meeting staff member Ms. Benzli updated the Baltimore County Planning Board on recent actions by other county bodies. She reported that the Landmarks Preservation Commission at its June 11 meeting voted to issue certificates of appropriateness for three properties: the Kelly property (4948 Tool Avenue, Halethorpe), the Nadu property (905 Windsor Road, Pikesville) and the Mitchell property (2101 Mount Carmel Road, Parkton).
Ms. Benzli also summarized legislation passed by the County Council since the board’s last meeting: Bill 61-26, an amendment to the County Charter concerning the Board of Recreation and Parks (adding representatives, updating duties and converting gendered language to gender-neutral language), and Resolution 13-26, which approves and ranks three Maryland Rural Legacy applications (Gunpowder Valley, Manor, and Piney Run watershed areas) for consideration by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Maryland Rural Legacy Board for FY2027 funding.
