The Carrollton City Council handled a set of procedural and post-executive-session actions at its meeting, including an agenda amendment, tabling a special-use request and approving a property conveyance to the redevelopment authority.
The council voted to remove Resolution 11-2024 (the GMA deferred compensation plan) from the agenda after a motion and second. Later, staff asked the council to table a special-use request to increase density at 135 Bowen Street so the applicant could address site-layout concerns; the council moved, seconded and approved tabling the item until the council’s September meeting.
The council approved entering an executive session, and upon return took action on a property matter discussed in that executive session. Mr. Brooks said the council needed a motion "to deed over the property on Sha Shaont Circle, partial ID C02 0370106, to the redevelopment authority for redevelopment and charitable purposes." The council moved, seconded, and approved deeding the parcel to the redevelopment authority by voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting the council also approved the July minutes and the meeting agenda by voice vote. The transcript records voice votes and motions and seconds, but does not show a roll-call tally attached to those recorded approvals. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn.
