"What are we accomplishing by waiving that fee if you can turn around and put it right back where it was?" asked a committee member during the discussion. Another member noted that the county has seen only a small number of downzoning requests (one in the past 12 months) and therefore did not expect a large rush.
A motion that the fee remain in effect was made, seconded and passed on a committee voice vote; no recorded roll-call tally was provided in the transcript. The chair noted the matter would be removed from the agenda.
