Mayville council approves multiple construction pay requests and covers workers' comp audit shortfall

The council also approved Pay Request #3 for $89,208.05 for the River Knoll project. Council members asked staff to ensure the payments are recorded in TID #7 for potential future reimbursement.
The council approved Pay Request #2 to the contractor handling Muzzy Allen Road construction for $464,375.86, noting most utility work on that corridor is complete. A related change order of $12,062 was approved after crews discovered a 10-inch water main (rather than the expected 8-inch) and a 2-inch church service line needing replacement.
Council approved Pay Request #12 to CD Smith Construction Incorporated for $893,897.34 related to water/wastewater facility upgrades.
On funding, members discussed an annual workers' compensation audit that identified an underpayment. The committee and council authorized covering a $21,984 portion of the audit shortfall from the general fund and noted the full audit amount discussed during committee was $72,000; council recorded the motion to use the general fund.
Operator's licenses for Jessica Willie and Larry Willie were also approved during the special council session.
