Township approves claims and agrees to split chip-seal costs with Clearwater Township

Separately, Clearwater Township requested that Silver Creek participate in chip-seal work on the town line: 0.7 miles of Elder Avenue and 0.5 mile of 162nd near the Mississippi Oaks Addition. Chairman Mike Helman moved and Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded a motion for Silver Creek to pay one-half of the cost for the two town-line projects; the motion carried 5-0. Maintenance reported a plow wing cylinder is in the shop for repair and raised a question about Xcel’s tree-removal project on County Road 8 and whether township right-of-way could be cleared as part of that effort; the minutes record the inquiry but do not show further direction.
