Planning Commission forwards corrected cannabis ordinance, sets hours of operation

The Harris Planning Commission on Oct. 27 voted to approve amendments and corrections to Cannabis Ordinance 2025‑06 and forwarded the draft to City Council for final consideration.
Commissioner Shari Denny pointed out drafting errors, including an incorrect reference to Chisago County that should read “City of Harris” and a spelling error in the compliance checks section (119‑12). Commissioners agreed to amend hours of operation to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, but Denny noted those hours must remain compliant with Minnesota state statutes.
Denny moved to approve and forward the ordinance; Commissioner Al Siedow seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. The ordinance, as corrected and with the agreed hours, will be placed on the City Council agenda for final action.
