The Stanwood City Council met in special session on Jan. 6, 2026. Mayor Todd Sawyer called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m., and roll call showed Councilmembers Siebels, Knapp and Rottman present; Clerk Jessica Lasack and Chief Dennis were also noted as present.
Councilmember Rottman moved to approve the agenda as posted; Councilmember Siebels seconded the motion, which passed with three ayes. The council then conducted a budget workshop; the meeting record states a workshop occurred but that no formal action was taken during that discussion.
The council scheduled its next regular meeting for Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., per the minutes. Later in the session, Councilmember Rottman moved to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.; Councilmember Knapp seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. The minutes were attested by Clerk Jessica Lasack and signed by Mayor Todd Sawyer.
No ordinances, resolutions, appointments or other formal actions beyond the procedural approvals were recorded for this special session. The budget workshop was listed as an item of business but produced no votes or directives in the minutes.
