At its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting the Stanton Comm School District board approved several new‑business items affecting student services, nutrition and facilities procurement.
The board approved an Application for Modified Supplemental in the amount of $36,785 for the At‑Risk/Dropout Program by motion; the minutes record that the motion carried. Superintendent David Gute reported that Stanton is transporting special education students to the SWITCH Building and is picking up students from the Red Oak School District; the board approved a Hold Harmless Transportation Agreement to govern that arrangement.
To address rising food costs, the board voted to increase breakfast and lunch prices by $0.10 and raise a la carte milk by $0.05, with the change to become effective Jan. 1, 2026. The minutes attribute the motion and approval to board action; the vote was recorded as carried.
On construction procurement, the board accepted a Construction Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document and a Construction Request for Proposal (RFP) document pending review and revisions by legal counsel (Ahlers & Cooney). The minutes note that attorney revisions are allowed before final issuance. The board also approved School Policy 402.3.
Director John McDonald left the meeting at 6:45 PM; the minutes indicate several new‑business motions occurred after his departure.
