St. Charles council receives routine departmental reports; clerk to advertise 2025 election

The St. Charles City Council reviewed routine departmental reports and administrative updates June 9.
The Sheriff reported 11 calls, 29 stops and 56.97 hours for May and the city’s Emergency Management report for May was submitted to the council. Library Director Margaret Blair briefed the council on the summer reading program. Mary Seibert reported that volunteers have started greeting visitors at the Welcome Center and that a new lock for the building was discussed. The minutes note 'St. Charles goes Safari' is scheduled for July 18–19.
Clerk Tracy Kozak told the council the copier lease in City Hall will expire and that the city will advertise the 2025 election; the upcoming ballot will include two council seats and the mayoral position.
