The Lebanon Planning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council adopt amendments to Title 14 to create uniform, citywide standards for accessory buildings and accessory dwelling units (ADUs).
Staff told the commission that the current code sets separate standards for each residential district and that those differences have become cumbersome to administer. The proposed changes would consolidate accessory-building tables and supplemental bulk regulations into a uniform standard to clarify how ADUs are treated across residential districts.
A commissioner moved and seconded a positive recommendation to City Council; the motion passed. Staff described the request as administrative in purpose — to reduce confusion and make permit review more consistent — and indicated the item will be forwarded to City Council for hearings and readings.
