Clerk Stephanie VonBehren reported ongoing work by the city attorney to file stipulated orders and municipal infraction notices in nuisance cases. Minutes record that a court hearing for 303 S. Maple resulted in a $50 fine plus court costs; letters and notices were sent to 301 S. Maple, 517 E. Kohlhase and 203 E. Preston with varying deadlines for cleanup. The Dec. 9 minutes repeat the city's directive that the clerk send nuisance letters and follow up with the attorney on a subset of properties.
The minutes also record a separate visitor (Jeff Freeman) who requested more time on a property matter; the council scheduled a court hearing and proceeded with docketing as recorded.
