The Stanton Comm School District Board of Directors voted Feb. 11 to set a public hearing on the district’s proposed tax levies for the 2026–27 fiscal year. Director John McDonald moved to schedule the hearing for March 25, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the district STEM Room; Director Ryan Hart seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The hearing will present the district’s proposed levies for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 budget year and provide a formal opportunity for public comment before the board acts on final levy figures. No levy amounts or rate proposals were presented at the Feb. 11 meeting; the board set only the hearing date and time.
The board’s action follows routine calendar steps required before levy adoption. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for March 11, 2026; the public hearing on levies will occur two weeks later on March 25 as scheduled.
