Jerry Wohler, representing the Kiwanis, asked the council to provide a letter of support for a grant application to Riverside Casino to help fund a pavilion. Wohler told the council the letter should be addressed to the Sigourney Kiwanis and that the organization was not seeking direct city funds, only the letter of support.
Council member Clark moved and Council member Iosbaker seconded approval of the letter. The council voted Aye unanimously.
The letter of support is intended to accompany the Kiwanis’ application to Riverside Casino. No details about the grant amount or timeline were provided at the Sept. 4 meeting.
