The board opened a public hearing on the sale at 5:00 p.m.; no members of the public spoke and the hearing closed at 5:01 p.m. According to board minutes, two additional offers were received after the listing: a $160,000 bid contingent on the buyer closing on their current home, and a $166,000 bid contingent on loan approval and appraisal. Board members said the accepted $150,000 offer was pre-approved and contained no contingencies, meeting the district’s listed criteria.
Director Glenn Mason moved to accept the pre-approved $150,000 offer, and Director Jean Fichter seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The board did not record any public comment opposing the sale at the hearing. The minutes do not specify closing dates, escrow instructions or how proceeds will be used by the district.
