Meredith Hogarty, a committee member of the CBMH Committee, proposed restructuring the committee during the group’s May 18, 2026 meeting to address what she described as a large membership and undefined subcommittees.
Hogarty proposed that the full committee meet every three months while smaller subcommittees meet monthly. She urged adding more residents to committee roles and reducing the proportion of staff participants, adopting a formal attendance policy, and conducting a review of the Citizen Activity Forms to clarify members’ roles and responsibilities. The proposal was presented as a set of options for improving meeting efficiency and resident engagement.
Resident Sarah also suggested adding clearer language to agenda items so attendees better understand expected discussion points and decisions. Committee member Alison Christopher recommended that, when reviewing the committee and activity forms, members consider “what each person brings” to the group—an appeal to match tasks to members’ strengths rather than expanding membership without role clarity.
