Stone Park schedules villagewide garage sale and Aug. 16 back-to-school supply drive

At the Village of Stone Park committee meeting on July 23, Trustee Marco T. Paz announced community events planned for August and reported procedural details residents need to know to participate.
Trustee Paz said the annual Villagewide Garage Sale will be held Aug. 16–18 and that the village will waive permit fees; residents who wish to be listed on the village map should contact village hall. He also announced a Back-to-School school-supply drive-up event on Friday, Aug. 16, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.; the minutes indicate more information will be provided at the next board meeting.
Trustee Simplisio Roman updated the board on the July 18 Music in the Park event, calling it a success and passing along a resident suggestion to arrange chairs stadium-style to keep sidewalks clear.
