The board discussed redoing the sidewalk to accommodate a ramp on the east side of the door while leaving stairs on the west. Trustee Randal McDonald urged the board to consider more modest safety fixes first, recommending handrails and corrected stair spacing as an easier, cheaper short-term solution.
Berenato said he would talk to the sidewalk contractor to assess structural and engineering needs and return estimates to the board. Trustees did not take a formal vote on funding or construction at the meeting.
