The Clear Creek School District RE-1 board approved multiple administrative measures during its June 9 meeting.
Trustees approved a memorandum of understanding with Colorado Adventure Guides to offer outdoor vocational education and industry-recognized certifications beginning July 2026. The board also designated Jen Barry as the district’s election official.
The board voted to accept Superintendent Pasten’s retirement; trustees clarified the vote accepted the retirement only and did not take formal action on any rehiring plan at this meeting. Administration and trustees expressed appreciation for Pasten’s service.
Separately, trustees approved administration’s recommendation to transfer workers’ compensation insurance from CopperPoint to WCF effective July 1, 2026, citing premium savings and risk-management resources. The board also approved policy items on second reading and passed the consent agenda after a member pulled staffing updates for additional discussion at a future meeting.
