The Clear Creek School District RE-1 Board of Education voted June 9 to adopt its fiscal year 2026-27 budget, approving a total-all-funds budget of $32,126,425.
Administration presented the proposed appropriations and trustees moved to adopt budget resolution 26-01. The board approved line-item amounts including a general fund appropriation of $18,888,157; a bond fund of $4,498,400; a capital reserve fund of $2,590,491; a building fund of $3,352,240 (district document formatting in the record contained spacing errors that the board read aloud); a grant fund of $1,869,418; a food service fund of $636,296; a preschool tuition fund of $512,550; and a student activity fund of $625,888.
In a separate vote the board adopted a resolution authorizing the use of a portion of the district’s beginning fund balance consistent with Colorado Revised Statutes (CRS 22-44-105). The resolution specifies use of selected balances in the general fund ($41,876), building fund ($3,252,240) and capital reserve ($5,000) and states the board’s finding that the use of these beginning balances will not create an ongoing deficit.
Board members said the documents had been reviewed in a prior study session and that the adoption formalizes funding levels ahead of the new fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. The motions to adopt the budget and the fund-balance authorization passed on voice votes.
