Library board minutes presented; Gateway/Tourism open house set and city to link business list

Margaret Blair presented the September Library Board minutes to the council. The Gateway/Tourism Board announced an open house at the Gateway on Oct. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a free‑will offering lunch. City council members agreed they will not list every business with a St. Charles address directly on the city website; instead the city will link to a business list compiled by the Tourism Board/Love the Locals. The minutes also note the council approved installation of a water spigot at the outside of the Gateway building.
The clerk reported that City Hall will be closed Oct. 9–11. The minutes further record that septic work at 401 S. Morgan Street would be contingent on future land use and Madison County Environmental approval.
