St. Charles authorizes up to $7,500 for street crack sealing, directs tree trimming and reseeding work

Council directed staff to contact MidAmerican about trimming a dead tree on Walnut Trail below power lines; if MidAmerican does not perform the work, the council instructed staff to arrange trimming with Precision Tree Care. The action was approved by voice vote (motion by Travis Brockett; second by Tom Blomme).
The council also authorized spending up to $7,500 to have cracks in the city’s asphalt streets sealed to extend pavement life and reduce future repair costs (motion by Travis Brockett; second by Dan Kozak). Public works was assigned to repair and reseed Austin Boulevard; the minutes note that Todd Dickinson was provided a map for the reseeding project.
