Dickinson supervisors vote to advertise ordinance to create Environmental Advisory Council

The Dickinson Township Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Sept. 3 to advertise Ordinance 2025-02, which would create an Environmental Advisory Council and define its powers and duties.
Supervisor Robert Line said such a council would provide residents a formal avenue to engage on environmental matters, while Vice Chairperson Jennifer DeGaetano noted the council could help the board address resident safety and environmental concerns. Chairman Rob Kole supported moving the ordinance to advertisement but emphasized the council requires at least three interested residents to be viable.
The board approved advertising the ordinance for public notice and comment (motion by Robert Line, seconded by Jennifer DeGaetano; vote 3–0). Advertising begins the statutory process for public feedback and does not itself create the council.
