Sigourney to mail lead-service-line inventory notice with water bills

The City of Sigourney will include a notice about the lead-service-line inventory in upcoming water bills, City Clerk Ashley Fry told the City Council on Nov. 20.
Fry said the letter will direct customers to call City Hall with any questions; staff will connect callers with Don or Public Works Director Brent Gilliland for more information. The notice is part of the city's effort to identify lead service lines and comply with inventory requirements.
Council member Iosbaker, who also serves as KCED Director, briefly reported on a Nov. 15 Strategic Planning Session and said visitors from the BOOST grant group offered support for community projects, and that he had attended a childcare-initiative conference and returned with information to help local efforts.
The council adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
