At its July 2 meeting the Sigourney City Council approved its consent agenda, which included accounts payable claims totaling $55,028.59, authorization for Brent Gilliland to attend the Iowa Rural Water Association fall conference in Dubuque (Oct. 15–16) with registration of $235 plus hotel and meal costs, and approval of a Class B retail alcohol license application for Family Dollar Stores of Iowa, LLC (d/b/a Family Dollar #32963) located at 327 North Main Street. The council also approved a tax exemption application for Ryan and Kristal Williams (Resolution No. 2024-07-22), accepted the credit card report, and set the time and place for the July 17, 2024 regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The consent agenda was approved by roll call with all members voting Aye. A separate motion to approve the minutes of the June 19 regular meeting passed with an abstention from Council member Conrad because he had not attended that meeting.
