Staff emphasized timing: to be operational on the statewide system, radios should be installed and deployed by Jan. 1 next year, and the county must decide quickly so vendors can schedule installation. Motorola representatives offered to return to Monday’s meeting if commissioners had additional questions.
No final contract was signed during the workshop; the budget committee’s recommendation will be considered by the full commission at its regular meeting.
