Wilmont council adopts agenda, approves minutes and authorizes payment of bills

The City of Wilmont council met Oct. 9, 2024, and unanimously approved routine business including the meeting agenda and Sept. 11 minutes before accepting the treasurer's report and authorizing payment of outstanding and subsequently received operating and fire department bills.
Amber Bertrand, the city clerk and treasurer, presented the financial report and said there was nothing out of the ordinary. On a motion by Councilmember Isaac Joens, seconded by Councilmember Josh Balster, the council voted to accept the financial report and to pay remaining bills as well as operating bills received after the meeting, including fire department bills.
Earlier in the meeting the council also approved time sheets without questions (motion by Isaac Joens, seconded by Josh Balster) and approved the meeting agenda (motion by Isaac Joens, seconded by Alicia Entinger) and minutes from Sept. 11 (motion by Alicia Entinger, seconded by Isaac Joens). All recorded motions passed unanimously.
The council set its next regular meeting for Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Wilmont Community Center.
