The board voted to approve the recommendation letter and the notice of award for phase one. The board then approved Wesler Engineering’s agreement for design, utility coordination, permitting, bidding and construction administration for phase two.
The City Engineer said phase one construction is scheduled to begin the first week of October immediately after the county fair and will continue through the winter; phase two design work will commence immediately with construction slated to begin a year later. Funding sources for the construction and design were not specified in the transcript.
